A “letter” promised to the dedicatee, György
Lakatos in autumn, arrived next spring in four movements for bassoon and piano.
The two side movements are characteristically of the composer rhythmical ones,
in the beginning movements specific styles of play expect a trained musician.
The composer uses extraordinary effects also in the second, slow movement. The
third one is based on comlpementary rhythm, with interludes in rondo form.
