Miklos Sugar (1952– )
Brass Characters consists of six short movements: the first one is a fanfare introduction, the second is a tune that rather sounds on the horn. The third movement is ’playing games with mutes’, the fourth is a rhythmical fast movement with asymmetrical rhythms. The fifth movement is built out of blocks, and the last is a fast finale with repeated material.
