”I finished my one-movement piece Double Play for clarinet and piano in January 2017. It is fitting to the series of my duets for cello and piano as well as flute and piano. Their musical material is similar although depending on the sounding characteristics of the instruments. My main intention was to give an attractive subject to play for the performers and to listen for the audience. The work consists of 5 easily separable sections which complement each other, sometimes converge but mainly contrast with each other”, says the composer.
