The original Hungarian title Gitárka-madárka cannot be translated to foreign languages. In the end of the piece there is a quotation of the Hungarian folksong ”Madárka, madárka” (birdie, birdie). It is a gently sounding pun that the composer creates on the pattern of madárka (birdie, little bird) a non-existing word from gitár (guitar) as gitárka (little guitar).
